This customer from Great Neck, NY was having comfort issues in their home, losing a lot of heat in the winter. It was recommended that they could use some new updated insulation in their attic. Triple H Contacting went in and removed all the old, damaged insulation. Then they air sealed all the air leaks in the attic, as well as blew in 12” of cellulose reaching its optimum R-value (typically R60). They also installed a new storage platform for the customer. Now with the new insulation this customer should be experiencing a more comfortable home, as well as lower fuel and electric bills.
A homeowner from Woodmere, NY contacted Triple H stating he knows he needs insulation. Our home comfort consultant Ryan performed a free evaluation of the home. Upon completion Ryan provided solutions for the homeowner. Triple H removed and disposed of the existing insulation inside of the attic, they then air sealed and insulated the attic floor with 14" of TruSoft cellulose. They installed a 2' x 2' catwalk inside of the attic in order for maintenance on mechanical systems. The homeowner will now be comfortable in their home, and it will be energy efficient.
This knee wall space was insulated with Foamax Insulation board. The superior R-value and a foil face on the outside reflects heat out in summer. Foamax™ has a class A fire rating and can be left exposed to living area without a thermal barrier. No harsh chemicals are sprayed in your home, like spray foam. The attic is now part of the con-ditioned space in your home, and ducts in the attic are no longer in a hostile environment.
A customer from Elmont, NY was looking to get an estimate to have her attic reinsulated. Upon doing an assessment it was also recommended that she have her knee wall space reinsulated as well. Without a properly insulated knee wall, it can result in the upper level of the home to be colder in the winter and hotter in the summer, and the knee wall space would not be suitable for storage. Triple H went in and removed the old insulation and added SilverGlo foam insulation between the ceiling joist bays. We also added a boarder and blew in cellulose insulation. Now this home should have a significantly warmer upstairs in the winter, and cooler rooms in the summer, less drafts, and more comfort overall.
A homeowner from Port Washington was looking to make their home happier and healthier. The attic of this home had old insulation and did not have proper air sealing. Triple H air sealed all penetrations on the attic floor. Then blew in 12" of cellulose insulation. Titeshell can covers were also installed to prevent air from escaping from the home into the attic by way of the recessed lights. The customer will surely be more comfortable and see an improvement on their utility bills, making their home happy and healthy.
