A customer from Elmont, NY was looking to get an estimate to have her attic reinsulated. Upon doing an assessment it was also recommended that she have her knee wall space reinsulated as well. Without a properly insulated knee wall, it can result in the upper level of the home to be colder in the winter and hotter in the summer, and the knee wall space would not be suitable for storage. Triple H went in and removed the old insulation and added SilverGlo foam insulation between the ceiling joist bays. We also added a boarder and blew in cellulose insulation. Now this home should have a significantly warmer upstairs in the winter, and cooler rooms in the summer, less drafts, and more comfort overall.
To help this customer experience a more comfortable home all year long, Triple H insulated this attic space with 16" of blown in cellulose insulation and air sealed all air leaks in the attic to prevent drafts. The home now stays cool in summer and warm in the winter.
The homeowners from Lynbrook had a free home energy assessment to find out why they had frozen pipes in their crawlspace. They were also concerned about some of the floors being cold. In order for the homeowner to be more comfortable and to help prevent pipes from freezing Triple H Contracting used Silverglo and a radiant barrier to properly insulate their crawl space. Silverglo aids in keeping warm air in and cool air out in the winter and the cold air in and warm air out in the summer months. The radiant barriers also helps with climate control and moisture . This home will no longer have cool floors or concerns about pipes freezing in the winter.
This customer in Douglaston requested we give him an estimate to improve his attic insulation. Prior to our arrival he was was loosing heat and his home was not efficient. Triple H proposed a Super Attic. The SuperAttic system protects your house against energy losses by putting a continuous & airtight layer of foam insulation beneath the attic rafters and inside the attic's gable walls. SilverGlo panels are used to fully seal and insulate the attic directly beneath the roof rafters and inside the gable ends. This home will now be more efficient and comfortable.
When our home comfort specialist arrived at a home in Malverne, NY it was easy to see a poorly insulated knee wall was causing comfort concerns. A knee wall space is created when a finished room is built within a sloped roof. When this area isn’t properly insulated it results in the upper level, the ceiling of the lower level, and the knee wall to be very cold in winter and hot in the summer. The knee wall is then not suitable for storage. Triple H added baffles in each rafter bay to ensure proper airflow before adding the insulation. Then they added fiberglass insulation before covering it with SilverGlo foam board insulation. SilverGlo is installed under the rafters up to the knee wall and sealed at the top with foam sealant. After the installation, inside air can’t get out of the house through the knee wall space and outside air can’t get in. Now with the knee wall properly insulated there should be significantly warmer upstairs in the winter and cooler in the summer, as well as less drafts throughout the home.
