Spray Foam Insulation Before & After Photos

This customer had a concern of cold floors.  Cold floors can be a direct result of the rim joist not being insulated properly. A rim joist is the perimeter of the floor framing system along the outside of the house. The joints and gaps between the framing allows cool and warm air to flow from outside and in to the crawl space. This results in cool floors, drafty, uncomfortable rooms and higher utility costs. To solve this common problem, Triple H will install spray foam over the rim joist to prevent future air leakage. The expanding foam seals all gaps and cracks. This will result in warmer floors, less drafts and more comfortable rooms. Don't forget the energy savings too!

A homeowner from Port Jefferson, NY contacted Triple H stating they had mold in their basement. The mold company ripped everything out and now the walls are down to studs. They need new insulation in the walls and rim joists. Our home comfort consultant Brian performed a free evaluation of the home. Upon completion Brian was able to provide the homeowner with a solution. Triple H applied closed cell spray foam to seal and insulate the rim joist, they installed closed cell spray foam on the wall, ceiling and floor. Then they insulated the cantilever over the foundation wall by dense packing with TruSoft cellulose. The homeowner will now be comfortable in their home, and it will be more energy efficient.

The customer had complaints of cold floors, uncomfortable room's and high heating and cooling bills. Upon completion of the assessment, it was determined that the customer's rim joist was leaky and poorly insulated this was causing the discomfort they felt in the home. Triple H used spray foam to properly insulate the rim joist of the home. By insulating the rim joist the customer will have warmer floors and fewer drafts, making the home more comfortable.
