This customer from Halesite requested a Free Estimate. His primary interest was insulating his basement. He was experiencing cold floors over the basement area. For this concern Triple H Contracting used spray foam insulation to properly insulate the rim joist. The rim joist is the perimeter of the floor framing system along the exterior of the house. This area is often not insulated and allows the flow of cold air into your home. After the insulation has been installed the floors will be warmer and there will be less drafts. Triple H Contracting also used Foamax insulation to insulate the basement walls. Foamax is a highly effective insulation panel that also has a great appearance.Tthe homeowner will be much more comfortable as well as more efficient. 

This customer from Huntington, NY contacted Triple H having comfort concerns with cold floors throughout her home. After one of our technicians went out to see what was going on, it was determined that her crawl space wasn’t properly insulated resulting in the cold floors. Triple H air sealed all the rim joist, preventing air leaks coming in from the outside air. Also, they installed SilverGlo Wall Insulation with a Radiant Barrier along the crawl space walls. This results in a much warmer crawl space and floors upstairs, less drafts, and even lower fuel and electric bills.

This dirty, dusty crawl space was transformed into a clean, healthy space that the homeowner can now use for storage.

Upon completion of the evaluation Brian provided a solution to improve the homeowners energy bills. Triple H air sealed and insulated the attic floor with 14” of TruSoft cellulose, along with insulating the attic adjacent wall with SilverGlo. The homeowners energy bills will now go down and they will also be more comfortable in their home.

Triple H installed SilverGlo EPS foam boards with radiant barrier along the roof line, gable ends and blocking between floor joists. We also installed GoldSeal liner to insulate the floor. The homeowner will now be comfortable in their home, and it will be energy efficient.
