Attic Insulation Before & After Photos

A resident from Shirley, NY contacted Triple H Insulation because they wanted to make their home more efficient.  They were looking to reduce the cost of heating and cooler their home.  Ryan, our home comfort consultant performed a free evaluation of the home. Ryans evaluation revealed that the attic insulation was old and the attic was not properly air sealed. Our team air sealed all plumbing and electric penetrations. Then blew in 6 inches of Cellulose insulation.  The home will now be more comfortable and more efficient. 

A homeowner from Wading River called because an evaluation of efficiency of the home was needed, specifically the attic insulation. The customer noticed drafts near the windows and attic access door, and with the high ceilings in the living room and kitchen, the rooms are cold in the winter. Home Comfort Specialist Ryan visited the home and proposed several solutions and an itemized proposal. The Triple H crew removed and disposed of the old, existing batt insulation. The floor was air sealed, TiteShell Recessed Light Fixture covers were installed and air sealed, and the attic floor was insulated with 10" of TruSoft Cellulose. SilverGlo insulation board was installed along the attic deck and a storage platform catwalk was built for the homeowner's easy access to the attic. Ducts were sealed with water based mastic  and an airtight and insulated zipper tent was installed and air sealed at the attic access hatch. The homeowner will now be more comfortable and the home will run more efficiently. 

This customer in Westhampton wanted to make his rooms warmer in the winter. One of the biggest causes of loss of heat is an improperly insulated knee wall. The knee wall is cold in the winter and hot in the summer because both the knee wall and floor are opened to the knee wall space typically with exposed fiberglass. To make this home more comfortable and efficient we use SilverGlo on the walls which can increase your R-value greatly. We also air sealed all floor penetrations, making the space air sealed properly. Last we used cellulose insulation. The homeowner will more be more comfortable in all four seasons of the year.

With SuperAttic, your attic becomes part of the conditioned space of your home. SuperAttic uses a SilverGlo EPS foam insulation board that is infused with graphite and specially manufactured with a radiant barrier to create an "energy force field" under your roof and above your attic space. Your home will now be less drafty, warmer in winter, and cooler in summer, with lower fuel and electric bills 

This homeowner in Southold, NY called us out to his home to see what they could do to increase the energy efficiency in their home. We saw there was old, inefficient fiberglass insulation in the attic. We know that fiberglass is not able to be energy efficient, especially without any air sealing. 

We remove all of the old, nasty batt insulation. Next, we carefully air seal various points where air from your home leaks up into and out of the attic with foam. Then we started blowing in our TruSoft Cellulose Insulation to fill in any and all gaps and odd-shaped voids.

Now, this home is more comfortable, and energy efficient!
