This customer in East Rockaway had requested a Free Home Energy Assessment. Upon completion of the assessment it was determined that this home had little to no insulation in the exterior walls. This homeowner now has warmer rooms and is more comfortable.
This homeowner from North Babylon, NY was looking to get his crawl space properly insulated and waterproofed. Triple H went installed a crawl space encapsulation system with drainage matting. SilverGlo foam insulation boards are installed on the walls to increase the R-value in the space and a dimpled plastic drainage matting is installed across the floor to create an airspace and thermal break. Finally, the crawl space encapsulation liner is installed permanently across the dirt floor. Now this home will have much lower humidity, much warmer floors upstairs and a more comfortable home.
This customer from Huntington, NY contacted Triple H having comfort concerns with cold floors throughout her home. After one of our technicians went out to see what was going on, it was determined that her crawl space wasn’t properly insulated resulting in the cold floors. This results in a much warmer crawl space and floors upstairs, less drafts, and even lower fuel and electric bills.

A resident of Smithtown contacted Triple H with comfort concerns in their home. One of the issues discovered was their attic Knee Wall had no insulation. The Knee wall is the short wall that forms a Triangular space. The floor of the Knee Wall is the ceiling of the room above it. Knee Walls are often not insulated. This space causes the room below it to stay cold in the winter and hot in the summer. Triple H used used SilverGlo between floor joists as needed on the Knee Wall and then blew in Cellulose Insulation. Now the room beneath the Knee Wall will be much more comfortable year round.
This customer contacted Triple H Contracting and wanted an estimate for roof insulation for his vented attic space. Vented attics that aren’t properly insulated are hostile places, easily reaching 30 degrees in winter and 125 degrees in the summer. After the home comfort specialist performed an evaluation it was noticed that there was no insulation. It was recommended to use Foamax Panels. Triple H went in and installed the Foamax Polyisocyanurate foam insulation boards on the underside of the roof deck. The superior R-value and foil face on the outside reflects heat out in summer. With the Foamax installed the customer should experience a less drafter home that stays warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.
A homeowner from Mastic, NY was having comfort concerns with the rooms above his crawlspace. After having a free home energy assessment, it was found that his crawlspace insulation was old and falling apart. Triple H went in and removed all the old, damaged insulation and added SilverGlo Wall insulation to his crawl space. Triple H also installed a SaniDry Sedona. A SaniDry Sedona crawl space air system is a powerful but energy efficient dehumidification and air filtration system in one unit. This customer from Mattituck had a energy assessment because half of the second floor bedrooms were warmer in the summer than the other bedrooms. After examining the customer's house it was determined that one of their issues was that their supply plenum was not properly insulated. To help improve comfort in their bedroom, we wrapped the supply plenum with insulated duct wrap, preventing cool air from being lost into the attic. By doing this, these bedrooms will be much cooler in the summer because all the conditioned air will go to the bedrooms and not escape through the ducts to the attic. The house is also more energy efficient.
This customer came to us with some concerns of some of his rooms being too hot all the time. After a Free Home Energy Assessment, we recommended to encapsulate the duct system with spray foam. Triple H went in and used spray foam to seal and insulate the ducts over the existing insulation. Air cannot leak through the foam. We were able to encapsulate these ducts with superior R-values and it being airtight. Now this customers rooms are more comfortable, being warmer in the summer and cooler in the winter plus less duct noise and lower bills.
