Radiant Barrier - Jericho, NY
A homeowner from Jericho had requested a free home energy assessment. This home would greatly benefit from proper insulation. We used a radiant barrier to help improve this home. A radiant barrier is a reflective surface that gets installed on the vertical walls with insulation. By using a radiant barrier it could make as much as a 15 or 20 degree difference in the temperature of this attic. A radiant barrier actually reflects the heat energy back towards its source. This will make the home warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. It will also help save on the cost of utilities.
Dense Packed Insulation in Garage Ceiling- North Bellmore, NY
A resident in North Bellmore, NY was experiencing uncomfortable rooms above their garage. After an evaluation it was determined they had no insulation in the ceiling between the garage ceiling and the rooms above. Garages are not heated, but the finished rooms above them are. So, the garage ceiling must be insulated. The result is cold, drafty floors upstairs. Triple H dense packed the ceiling with TruSoft Cellulose Insulation. The cellulose is blown in and dense packed into the ceiling. This not only compresses existing loose fiberglass batts, but the density stops airflow through the floor from air leaks. Added this insulation results in warmer floors above, more comfortable rooms, and quieter floors upstairs without that hollow sound.
Exterior Wall Dense Pack- Levittown, NY
During a dense pack exterior wall project, the siding is removed temporarily as necessary and an approximate 2" holes are drilled through the wall sheathing. A fill tube is inserted up and down into the wall cavity to not only fill, but dense pack the wall cavities. Dense packing is a technique that packs the insulation in very tightly. The wall cavities are dense packed with cellulose insulation which can get into all the irregular shaped cavities when packed in. The holes and then plugged and the siding is put back.
Crawl Space Encapsulation- Wantagh, NY
A homeowner from Wantagh, NY contacted Triple H stating that their interested in crawl space insulation and possibly several other rooms of the house. Our home comfort consultant Bill performed a free evaluation of the home. Upon completion Bill provided solutions for the homeowner. Triple H installed closed cell spray foam on the rim joist. We then insulated the crawl space floors with GoldSeal liner on the floor, and SilverGlo insulation along the walls. The homeowner will now be comfortable in their home, and it will be more energy efficient.
Knee Wall Insulation - Wantagh, NY
This customer from Wantagh requested an estimate for insulation in his master bedroom. The homeowner felt that his room was too cold in the winter and too warm in the summer. After assessing the insulation levels in the knee wall of the master bedroom it was decided the current insulation needed to be removed and replaced. Triple H removed the old R19 insulation and replaced it with blown in cellulose insulation. After the completion of the project the customer will be warmer and will also see an improvement in their utility bills.
