A fellow resident of St. James requested a free in-home evaluation. They were looking to reduce the costs to heat and cool the home. They also wanted to make rooms warmer in the winter. The attic of this home was lacking the proper lever of insulation needed to keep a home comfortable. The attic was not air sealed either. Triple H air sealed the attic floor and then used Cellulose insulation to bring up the R value. This home will now be much warmer, and the homeowner should see a reduction in the heating and cooling costs.
A homeowner from Nesconset, NY contacted Triple H with concerns about the bedroom above their garage stating that its freezing. Our home comfort consultant Greg performed a free evaluation of the home. Upon completion Greg was able to provide a solution for the homeowner. Our production team air sealed and insulated the garage ceiling by dense packing with TruSoft cellulose. They then air sealed and insulated the attic floor with 10" of TruSoft cellulose. The homeowner will now be comfortable and their home will be energy efficient.
This customer contacted Triple H about her insualtion after it got wet from an AC unit. Triple H preformed a Free Home Energy Assessment and suggested to the customer to upgrade the insulation. Triple H removed all the old and wet insulation from the attic, air sealed all the pentrations on the attic floor before blowing in 14" of TruSoft Cellulose insulation. Now that the home has been properly insulated the customer will experience a more comfortable home as well as saving on utilities.
This homeowner from Stony Brook, NY wanted to reduce the drafts in their home. Triple H removed the old insulation, then air sealed the attic floor. Before blowing in Cellulose Insulation, TiteSheel Can Light Covers were installed over the recessed lights. Improperly insulated recessed lights are a major contributor to the loss of heat. The final step was to blow in the Cellulose Insulation. This home will now be more comfortable and less costly to heat/cool.
This is a good example of proper air sealing. Air sealing seals up all the air leaks from the various point you could lose air and leaks out of your attic. Air sealing before insulation is very important so you can have a properly sealed and insulated attic space for a warmer more comfortable home. With lower fuel and electric bills.
