A local homeowner from St. James, NY was interested in reducing the cost to heat and cool her home. Triple H performed an In-Home Evaluation. The attic of this home was not properly insulated and the penetrations along the attic floor were not sealed properly. Triple H Air Sealed all penetrations on the attic floor, built a mechanical CatWalk and then blew in Cellulose Insulation. The Air Sealing and Cellulose Insulation will keep the hot air out of the house in the Summer and the cool air from making its way in during the Winter months. The mechanical CatWalk will allow for easy access to the HVAC system in the future.
Our fellow neighbor in St. James requested we help them to lower the cost of heating and cooling the home. The attic of this home did not have proper insulation and it was not properly sealed. The ducts of this home were not sealed. When the ducts are not sealed the air moving through the ducts to your home is affected. If its summer and you are trying to get cool air into your home the attic heats the duct air in it. So instead of getting cold air temperature you expect into your home you get less cold air. This causes comfort issues and often makes your central air conditioning system work harder. If your system is working harder, it is costing you more. Triple H insulated these ducts using spray foam. Then used cellulose insulation to insulate the attic. Between the ducts being sealed and new insulation, this home will be much more comfortable and the homeowner should see a reduction in the cost of heating and cooling the home.
A fellow resident of St. James requested a free in-home evaluation. They were looking to reduce the costs to heat and cool the home. They also wanted to make rooms warmer in the winter. The attic of this home was lacking the proper lever of insulation needed to keep a home comfortable. The attic was not air sealed either. Triple H air sealed the attic floor and then used Cellulose insulation to bring up the R value. This home will now be much warmer, and the homeowner should see a reduction in the heating and cooling costs.
This customer contacted Triple H about her insualtion after it got wet from an AC unit. Triple H preformed a Free Home Energy Assessment and suggested to the customer to upgrade the insulation. Triple H removed all the old and wet insulation from the attic, air sealed all the pentrations on the attic floor before blowing in 14" of TruSoft Cellulose insulation. Now that the home has been properly insulated the customer will experience a more comfortable home as well as saving on utilities.
A homeowner from Nesconset, NY contacted Triple H with concerns about the insulation in their attic. Our home comfort consultant Ryan performed a free evaluation of their home. Upon completion of the evaluation Ryan provided solutions to improve the attic insulation. Triple H removed and disposed of all the existing insulation, then air sealed and insulated the attic floor with 10” of TruSoft cellulose. They installed a 2’ x 2’ catwalk in the attic in order for maintenance on mechanical systems. The homeowner will now be more comfortable, and the home will be more energy efficient.
