Home insulation & air sealing solutions

Crisp autumn air, snowy winter storms, and vibrant summer days, New York has beautiful, changing seasons that is loved by many tourists, but for Suffolk County locals with insufficient home insulation, it may not be as exciting. When there is a poor insulation barrier between the walls and the outdoors, rooms can feel uncomfortable, causing heating and cooling costs to rise as your HVAC unit works harder to regulate home climate.

With spray foam insulation and blown-in fiberglass and cellulose insulation for basements, crawl spaces, garages, attics, walls, and other home areas, Triple H Insulation can maximize your home's energy efficiency and lower utility costs!

Spray foam insulation experts

Spray foam insulation expands to fill small gaps and cracks within basements, crawl spaces, attics, garages, walls, and other home areas. Without sufficient home insulation, these air leaks can cause the home to become uncomfortably hot or cold, which drives heating and cooling costs up.

Since spray foam insulation doesn't have to be cut, fitted, or set like rigid board, installation is quick and once it cures, it stays in place, meaning no sagging, shifting, or settling!

Choosing Spray Foam- Amityville, NY

Amanda from Amityville, NY submitted a request for someone to come out and give her an estimate on insulation for her crawl space. Paul,a Home Comfort Specialist went out to evaluate her crawl space and to give her the best option to insulate it so she could have a more comfortable home. After looking at her crawl space it was noticed that whenever it rained little pools of water would form in the crawl space. Paul recommended Spray Foaming the entire crawl space (walls, ceiling, and floors) as well as the rim joists. By spray foaming all these spaces it results in Amanda not having water pooling in her crawl space anymore and having warming floors and overall a more comfortable home

Having the Proper R-Value of Insulation- Dix Hills, NY

This home in Dix Hills, NY was in desperate need of new attic insulation. The old insulation was not doing its job of keeping the home comfortable, it was old and outdated. Triple H added new blown-in cellulose insulation to get an R-value of R49. An R-Value tells you how well a type of insulation can keep heat from leaving or entering your home. Why you should seal your mechanical ducts- Islip, NY

Gregg M. was having issues heating/cooling his home, making it uncomfortable.  With the amount that his bills were, his heating/cooling system must’ve been running 24/7. Triple H's technician Paul went out to his home to see what was going on. One of the issues Paul found was that Gregg’s ducts in his home weren’t properly sealed. Having ducts that aren’t properly sealed in you home can end up costing you more money and your home is still uncomfortable. Ducts have lots of joints, gaps, and holes where air can leak out of. With these ducts not sealed properly causes the air to leak out of the ducts, and then it doesn’t reach your rooms causing your home to be uncomfortable and your bills to be high. Triple H uses Tite ‘n’ True foam duct encapsulation, to make it airtight. Now when you heat and cool your home, that heating/cooling is delivered to your rooms without losing anything. Resulting in your home being more comfortable year-round and lower fuel/electric bills.

Triple H customer Peter from Miller Place, NY contacted Triple H thinking he had a lack of insulation in his home after getting a new air conditioning unit. Paul did determine that Peter’s home was lacking the proper insulation in his attic. Installing a new, highly efficient AC in a home that is not properly insulated or sealed is a well-intention, but ill-conceived effort. Peter’s old insulation couldn’t keep up with the new air conditioning. Paul recommended sealing and reinsulating Peter’s attic space so he can have a warming more comfortable home year-round.

Making Home More Comfortable and Energy Efficient Year Round

After setting an appointment, Triple H Home Comfort Specialist Brian went out to this North Babylon home to help this customer. Brian noticed that Robert's attic space was poorly insulated which was one of the issues why his home wasn't comfortable. Brian recommended air sealing and adding 10" of cellulose insulation to the attic and dense packing the cathedral ceilings to make the whole home more comfortable year-round.

Uncomfortable Homes- Farmingville, NY

He mentioned that they just got a new HVAC system installed so he believes that that wasn't the issue. Home Comfort Specialist Brian went out to Frank's home to take a look. After taking a look around the home Frank was correct that his HVAC system was working properly but his home was poorly insulated. Your home is a system, everything works together. Installing a new HVAC or Furnace in a home that is not properly insulated or sealed is a well-intentioned, but ill-conceived effort. Without the proper insulation and sealing all the heat in you is escaping out making your home cold which then makes your HVAC system work harder to make it warm then causing your bills to go up. Brian gave Frank a free estimate to add new insulation to his attic as well as air seal all the air leaks in the attic, to help keep his home airtight and more energy-efficient and comfortable.

Energy Efficiency in Centerport, NY

Mr. F called us wanting to know how to make his home more energy efficient and comfortable. He knew he needed updated attic insulation but overall wanted a more efficient home. Home Comfort Specialist Paul went out to his home to discuss with Mr. F about his problems and how we can help fix them. Home Energy Efficiency Upgrades- Babylon, NY

This customer contacted us wanting ways to make his home more efficient. He was having issues with keeping the heat or AC contained in the home, which was also causing the first floor of his home to be very cold throughout the winter. No matter how much he kept his heat on it would never be warm. Triple H Specialist Ryan went out to his home in Babylon, NY to take a thorough look to see what was going on. Ryan noticed that this customer had a poorly insulated attic which caused air leakage. So all the heat that this customer was pushing through his home was leaking out through the attic. Ryan also noticed that the crawl space was not insulated, causing the 1st floor floors to be very cold. Ryan sat with this customer and recommended having us properly seal the leaks in his attic and insulate it with new insulation. And to install a crawl space encapsulation to help them with the cold floors in the home. Now, this home will be comfortable year-round, energy-efficient, with fewer drafts, and lower fuel/electric bills.

SuperPlatform in Ridge, NY

The Triple H Crew installed this SuperPlatform with Insulation Dams. A SuperPlatform starts with installing SilverGlo foam boards across the ceiling joists. Then Oriented Strand Boards are installed over the SilverGlo with very long screws. To keep blow-in insulation away from the new storage deck, we install dams made of the same oriented strand boards. Then the cellulose insulation is blown into the rest of the attic space.

Mold-X2 Cleaner & Botanical is a Dr. Energy Saver product that we use to effectively eliminate mold and mildew stains on contact. It prevents mold from growing back, resulting in mold elimination with no odors or potential for wood rot. After removing the old insulation, we would start by air sealing all penetrations in the attic to prevent any drafts and then add 16" of new blow in cellulose insulation.
